Dr. Albrecht has been caring for women and their families in the tri-parish area for the past 19 years in obstetrics and gynecology. She has been on staff at Terrebonne General Medical Center since 1996 and has been in private practice since 1999.

Prior to relocating to Louisiana, Dr. Albrecht practiced medicine in California and Hawaii after graduating with honors from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Medicine in 1992.  She completed her residency program at Los Angeles County University of Southern California Women’s and Children’s Hospital after participating in a groundbreaking research project involving atypical antibodies in pregnancy.

Since arriving in Houma, Dr. Albrecht has developed a vibrant  practice catering  to the needs of local women of all ages and providing expert, caring medical services to women in all walks of life.  In addition to being personally available to deliver more than 100 newborns each year, Dr. Albrecht continues to care for women through each life cycle with expertise and compassion.  Dr. Albrecht has maintained a passion for the science of medicine and has remained at the cutting edge of her field, providing the most current and advanced surgical methods available today, including total laparoscopic hysterectomy.

Dr. Albrecht appreciates her vital role in the community and serves as a frequent lecturer to both patient and physician groups  on women’s health.  She is a Fellow to the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has been OB/GYN Board Certified since 1998.

Dr. Albrecht lives in Thibodaux and is a married mother of two young daughters. She is a strong advocate of physical fitness and spiritual well-being in her community.
